Shay Mitchell

Shay Mitchell has been a Canadian actress, model, and entrepreneur for over 10 years. Her most famous work is her role in Freeform's Pretty Little Liars as Emily Fields. Shay Lo is the nickname of an avid Jennifer Lopez Mitchell fan who gained popularity among her acquaintances. While she was a little girl, her passion for performance art grew. She confided to her parents that one day she wanted to make a living in the field. After becoming proficient in dancing and modeling, Mitchell wanted to learn acting. So she took lessons in Toronto. After scoring a couple of advertisements and guest roles on TV shows Mitchell received her first big break when she was chosen in the role of Emily Fields in Pretty Little Liars. The critics and fans alike were awestruck by Mitchell's performance. She then went on to make a mark on the big screen through films such as Dreamland, Mother's Day and The Possession of Hannah Grace. The role she played in the psychological thriller You It earned her greater recognition. Shay Mitchell, in addition acting, has taken a leap into the world of writing. She wrote a novel for adults titled Bliss together with Michaela Blaney.

Jazmine, a Philadelphia native, was born and raised in the city. Pam, Jazmine's mother, was a backing vocalist who was a part of Philadelphia International Records.
